Louisville Catholic Schools
Deliverables: Brand identity; Web design; Advertisement Designs; art directIon, tv spot, photography
The Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville are known for their strong academics and faith. Because this is not a school system, each school has unique offerings. The schools had gradually seen a decline in the number of students enrolling due to financial reasons as well as a general decline in religion with modern families. My team at Fieldtrip was tasked to dive in and learn more about what makes these schools unique.
After an extensive research phase, we learned that it is the community aspect of the schools that draws people in. Our target audience wasn’t necessarily choosing to send their children to these schools for the religious aspect. They wanted their children to be nurtured throughout their education.
The brand identity needed to attract a younger demographic and showcase a sense of community. We chose to create an identity with a dynamic logo consisting of colorful “C” squares. Each “C” represents the individuals that make up the community that you find at one of these schools. With more attention focused on outreach and diversity than ever before we designed a dynamic brand identity that would continue to set these schools apart and welcome all.
This project included the research and strategy phase, brand and website development, as well as advertising. Fieldtrip has worked with the Archdiocese of Louisville since 2016 to strategically market their system of schools. I have been the lead creative on this account for most of these years, working on the brand, website, tv commercials, and more. To watch the tv spot that I was very involved in, click here.
